Unstuck

This is a series of collaborative pieces done during Sarah’s Artist Residency in Motherhood with her son who was then 2 years old. Based on a map she created that represented the ways in which she got in her own way, got stuck creatively, her son was free to add color to this map in any ways he wanted to and whenever he was called to. The series developed as his motor skills did, as his technique and interests evolved and as he, like most children who are always free, changed the rules. The complete series is an ode to play, exploration and freedom.
