Sarah uses metaphor and myth to illuminate the shadow side of our psyche. Sarah’s art explores the themes of Identity and our relationship to Time and Space using primarily photography, words, fibre and collage. Her work is marked by its constant duality both in its form and substance; a constant conversation between materials, between the past and the present, between herself and the other.

Sarah established herself as an emerging artist when in 2018 she left her design consultancy job to create What Remains - a travelling exhibition and artbook. In every city where the exhibition is shown, a new body of work is created often initiating interactions with local communities. The complete work serves to raise awareness and destigmitize Dementia.

Sarah is also a proud Artist Residency in Motherhood alum and feels very strongly about empowering women especially mothers. She therefore seeks to create opportunities to collaborate and co-create with other mother artists. She is currently working on a children’s book and a deck for families, and is carrying out the collaborative Art Territory Exchange Residency.

Below are some selected works that represent Sarah’s creative style and voice.
